Macdonald fights GSP after one more top 5 win. He will fight GSP if he fights Condit or Hendricks and wins. The only way I see him not fighting GSP after one more win is if he fights any body but those two.

For the record I regularly scout 170 for a good match up for GSP's demise...I had high hopes for Carlos

It doesn't seem like GSP is in any "rush" to vacant the belt to move to MW. I'm sure after he fights Diaz, Rory would've fought Condit or Hendricks. And in the situation Rory wins one of those fights, the UFC is better off offering the title fight to Rory rather than whom ever he did not fight (condit or hendrics) this fight would be more marketable for obvious reasons.

Well... I guess no one. But he's come close to finishing Condit. Anyways, after a top 5 win he's in a position for a title shot because of his winstreak and the marketability of the fight with GSP.

If you watched the video than you would understand that its not up to GSP entirely. Rory may take the fight regardless of GSP being on the same team.

Exactly. Kid needs at minimum 2/3more wins to get a shot. And has to prove he can deal with the high-level wrestlers of that divison to boot. Going on a run with his previous 2 wins being over Che Mills and BJ arent title-shot caliber yet.

I'll say it again. A top five win puts Rory in a title shot scenario.

I'll ignore the "he would have won if he didn't lose" logic and point out that it most likely would have been a draw had it gone to the judges scorecards.
