Rodolfo Vieira UFC Debut at FN 156!

How did I miss this signing? Vieira is in the league of Jacare, Maia and Werdum in terms of BJJ royalty with 4 IBJJF World Championships and an ADCC title to boot! Very exciting signing, and interesting first matchup out of the gate, as he's fighting Oskar Piechota, who is a very talented grappler in his own right, and sure to be the more experienced striker.

Excited to see this one and see how Rodolfo progresses as an MMA fighter!

Pumped to see another top notch BJJ player make their UFC debut, to his credit all 5 of his wins are finishes but I don’t like that he hasn’t been to decision yet. Adrenaline dumps late in fights are very common even with high level grapplers if they get over aggressive.


His success would be a much needed grappling addition to MW with Jac on his way out and Weidman moving up.


We’ll see.
