Brazilian nicknames are great. a lot of times it is a silly story and the guy gets stuck with the nickname for life.

Like Renato "Babalu" Sobral. "Babalu" means bubblegum. they started calling him that because when he was a kid he wore a pink T-shirt to the gym one time.

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, they only started calling him "Shogun" because his older brother Murilo's nickname is "Ninja," so they needed a different Japanese thing for Mauricio.
