Media Road to UFC Contracts better than DWCS contracts; Almost double the pay

I'm waiting for a fighter to win on DWCS and then turn down the contract offer. That fighter almost assuredly would make more from PFL or Bellator because the controversy he or she would create by turning down the UFC would raise their stock even more.

That would be kinda smart, plus I'd love anyone that would have the balls to do that, instant fan here. Lol

Sucks that only Jung Young Lee or Matsushima can win the featherweight contract, they are probably the two most interesting guys across all weight classes for me.

A prospect I was very high on Sarvadzhon Khamidov who's 13-0 at 135lbs and only 24 with a Freestyle wrestling background and some pretty damn good wins considering how young he is turned down the contenders series offer for better pay from Bellator. It's already happening.

I think he means someone telling Dana to suck their dick on live TV after winning a fight, when usually it's everyone slobbering to appease Dana.

But I'm guessing the UFC legal team makes them sign a very restrictive behavioral contract before they appear and would get sued.

UFC gotta make the profits higher somehow. Guess they thought signing a bunch of regional talent on horrible contracts was the next move.

Obvious shift to quantity over quality with the Contender Series and ESPN contract/fighting schedule. The LW and BW divisions are stacked though and I like FLW and FW as well. Still some good/great fighters and great fights to watch.

Yeah, I think there's contingency/exclusivity contracts in place if you fight on the contenders series.

Makes sense, since these guys are fighting in a tournament format and its much harder to make it to end and get contract. So naturally it should be higher pay deal.

Also I bet the winners of this tournament are gonna get a big push by UFC. They are hell bent on building Asian UFC stars right now.

Everything is a scam to you

{<hhh]
Not everything, but the average UFC fan is dumb as shit and susceptible to being scammed, thus why they become easy marks.
Xyience?
Crypto.com?
CanTender Series?
Absurd title shots?
Guys with fake records getting signed?
Sketchy deals with the UAE.

These aren't conspiracy theories.
They're conspiracies.

I work in entertainment. People who work in entertainment management are absolutely scumbags and will lie cheat and steal whenever possible.
I've had to help push false narratives in my own career before related to why events got cancelled for example. (not MMA related at all, but live events still where brand and reputation were important to profitability)

Fight promotions have always been some of the shadiest and devious conartists alive.
Even the NFL and the richest dudes alive do it.
The NFL and its teams have been caught hiding hundreds of millions of dollars from revenue-sharing agreements with players in recent years.

Ever watched pro baseball?
For decades teams would like and pretend that elite prospects weren't MLB ready just so they could fuck with how many years the player was under control before their free agency period started. It's almost exactly what the UFC is now figuring out they can do: get people "under contract" but create a "minor league" where they make up arbitrary rules and pay nothing, while reaping all the benefits of the footage, career control of the fighter, and prolong how many times they can pay someone very little before they ever get a chance to negotiate based on their skills.

huh? Why can't Zha Yi win it? (Can't see Kai Lu winning it.)

Tons of interesting guys left in the tourneys. Min Woo Kim vs Toshiomi Kazama is a great fight. Rinya Nakamura is a great prospect as well.

He can win but I think Lee is a pretty heavy favorite. Rinya Nakamura and Kyung Pro Kim would be good signings too but I think featherweight is the only division that I'd like to see multiple contracts.

Oh I realized Matsushima is fighting Yi. I don't know much about Yi so maybe he would be a better signing than Matsushima. If that is the case then that would be 3 guys at featherweight that should be signed.

Zha Yi is currently the betting favorite over Matsushima.
