Rival teams you find yourself rooting for...

Also, whenever rivals teams are facing teams that we need to lose to make the playoffs obviously. Too bad the Bears, Vikes, and Lions are too incompetent to ever do that/win in December ever.

I wish pain and suffering on every team but my own.

I was rooting for your loser ass sharks to beat the kings last night. But I hope both teams burn in hell.

There are some teams that Id like to see win if my team is out of the playoff picture or whatever but never a rival team. Only time id cheer for one is if them beating someone helps my team in a positive way.

When Brett Favre went to the Vikings....that....that was a very confusing time in my life. A part of me hated him. But, when they weren't playing the Packers, I was 100% rooting for them.

I enjoyed watching him get crushed

I rooted for Louisville in the Final Four last year. Three titles for them don't hurt; it makes the rivalry a tad more interesting.

Not much of a rival if you can root for them.

Yes actually big Yankees fan but I cheer for Red Sox every now and then, i personally don't see why other fans are so into bashing other teams

I'm a Jays fan and cheer for the Yanks when they play Boston, which is more b/c I dislike Boston more than NY I guess.

I'll usually pull for some Big Ten college teams when Illinois is out but thats about it. Other than that, fuck the Packers, Cardinals, White Sox, etc...

Even in situations where a rival's win could help my team, it's not like I'm wearing their apparel or doing their chants. It's usually me silent at a bar with my arms crossed nodding my head when they win.

I remember when Joe Nedney of the 49ers hit a game winning FG against the Broncans in 2006, knocking them out of the playoffs and putting the Chiefs in. So, in that case, I was rooting against a rival and became a fan of Joe 'Foot of God' Nedney

Only when it benefits my team, and even then I don't cheer for them. I just hope the other team loses

Would you cheer a rival team if it meant your team got to go to the playoffs if said rival team won?

I would be interested in said game, but, only in the result. I would bitch out the rival team if they lost and not even thank them if they won.
