Man, he got royally fucked up in the ring. One day, you're an athletic brick shit house, and the next, you're practically helpless and in a chair. All over a botched powerbomb. Yikes. The wrestling business can be a cruel bitch.

Indirectly, but obviously.
Quadriplegic don't live until their 70s, typically. It was completely impossible for him to live a healthy lifestyle.
And if I were him, I wouldn't want to. Practically the only pleasure he could feel is through his tastebuds.
