Hello all,

I got this bag on sale from ringside.com

Price: Clearance: 39.99 + 4.95 shipping

To start out: The bag is small, only a little over two feet long. and is made with thick rubber. It is small, but not light, it's 65 lbs fully filled

Ok the important stuff: hitting it definitely reduces impact, but not as much as you'd think.

The rubber is pretty thick, so you feel the impact, not so much on your knuckles, but on your wrists..

The reason you feel the impact:

When you you hit it the water moves around and the rubber sorta feels like it,"hits you back", meaning that the rubber bounces right back at your hand, so it's kind of a double impact. The initial hit and the bouncing back feeling of the rubber and water...

It certainly has a unique feel and I have kind of mixed feelings. You kind of feel weaker when you punch because of the feeling of the water moving around and it's not as solid as a traditional heavy bag.

I will try it a few more times to see how it feels, because of the unusual feeling

but, If you want to buy a water bag, generally speaking, I would recommend buying a more expensive one that has a foam liner, or a traditional heavy bag with foam in it. (which is my personal preference, you get protection and a solid hit)

This is just something I will use when I'm not at the gym, so its o.k for that, but I definitely prefer the feel of the title boxing leather heavy bags, (the foam liner kind)

so it is an ok bag if you get it on sale, but if you are planning on spending more money, get one with the foam and water, or a traditional heavy bag with the foam.

Ringside is a elite brand.
But I've never heard of a water filled punching bag (of course its possible with high quality rubber/material)

haha that must feel soo akward when you hit it
have some other people from the gym hit it, see what their reaction is.

I wonder if it feels like your punching big country in the gut?

2 feet sounds weak. I would get a longer bag if you can afford it. You might want to train kicks. Plus the longer it is the less it sway when you beat on it. I myself have an Everlast that has been some serious shit over the years. lol

I had been considering getting one of those just for the hell of it.
