Economy Right Wing Retard PBD gets schooled by 25 people

Hes a scam artist running a pyramid scheme. He's 100% not smart. Once he runs out of what he thinks are provocative questions to ask and cedes control of conversation pace, he's got absolutely nothing.

Yea his show sucks and he's a blowhard.

Why isn't he in jail. I thought he sold insurance or some bullshit.

Yeah I'm sure it can introduce some younguns to debate. Ideas won't win here though. Whoever has the better rhetoric will be clipped and recycled.
Another great point. However, that is the world we live in now and it's an effective way to engage the younger people that receive most of their information that way and cast their vote with that same information.

Jubilee gathers together influencers who are trying to pop off, squeezed into tight time windows. This replicates the cables news guest speaker role. It encourages car crash tv rather than real dialogue. Lots of talking over each other, bad faith talking points and debate bro non-sense.

In addition, the format puts the competing influencers around the circle is a position to vote each other out. This has a few effects -

1. encourages group think - as soon as you deviate from the team message you get voted out; and

2. there is a conflict of interest. They are competing for attention, so you get voted out even if people agree.

I can't stand Jubilee. It's more about going viral than discussion.

for some reason it makes me think of a debate version of Kill Tony. not so much a close analogy as a vibe-check thing, or perhaps just an indication of the distaste the format gives me, I dunno

I agree, while shaking my fist in the air like a confused old man at these youths and their culture!

It's not really comparable

One person kinda won the luck lottery and the other had to come up with a scam to get himself somewhere. I begrudgingly respect peoples hustle and wish I was clever enough to scam my way into the next tax bracket.
So you respect unethical people that take advantage of desperate people with limited skillsets? I dunno man.
