Has anyone here attended Rickson's Invisible Jiu-jitsu Siminar? Does anyone know if he plans to bring it to the U.S. Also any feed back on his siminar or his zero point philosophy please.

zero point i know means keeping yourself at a point of no risk or safety and never leaving that point, in order for your opponent to attack you he has to leave his point zero and thats when u capitalize on there openings, so basically if rickson were to ever fight himself the fight would end from old age lol, smart man i must say, thats what self defense and jiu jitsu is about, staying safe in a fight

i didnt attend seminar but many blackbelts minds were blown, i believe jacare or gurgel said we still have alot to learn after attending, it dealt with the basic fundamentals and executing them efficiently, nothing u havent seen before except for the rickson details that make the techniques perfect i guess, im sure(assuming btw) it has to do with proper weight distribution in different positions, the shit you dont see

I saw his choke video when he say's it's like being on automatic pilot and responding to the variations. It seems to match his dads philosophy of defense first.

Do you know of any other sources that might expand or where Rickson talks about it?

I'm always ammazed at how these high level black belts still think Rickson is the man.

yeah when people doubt his skills they should just ask around so many badasses look up to him as this "god" of jiujitsu (which is pretty much true lol) so why shouldnt they

yeah i have choke too great vid, dont really have any other sources on that

Invisible jiu jitsu is not something supernatural, ki-related, or philosophical.

In his invisible jiu jitsu seminar, Rickson revisits the most basic positions and submissions and shows minute details that make all the difference and separate a great fighter from a master. This includes his own two-step variation on the armbar.

Is this in anyway related to Braulio's invisible jiu jitsu instructional?

Does anyone know if these seminars are being recorded for release to the public?

I would be intrested in seeing or hearing more about the 2 step variation of the arm bar.

what position is this 2 step armbar suppose to be from or is it an idea for armbars in general, when u first learn an armbar (from guard) its like this:

1. trap arm agianst your chest
2. bite opposite leg on back deep in armpit
3. use bite to swivel hips and bring leg over face

im guessing a 2 step is combining 2 and 3 in one motion where you shoot your hips up using core and lock armbar (the way an advanced grappler would)

I attended the invisible jiu jitsu seminar, I didnt learn a thing.

Here is a pic from the seminar of Rickson demonstrating an arm bar!

i got one of braulio's invisible jiu jitsu cds, and yeah, it is stuff that average guys would look past, highlighted. little hip movements, little extra weight here, arm stays here an extra second etc. indeed, 'tis the little things that blow your mind.
