i've been looking for a wrestling mat for my home for a while, something i can practice some drills on by myself and with a friend.
i heard someone mention matsmatsmats.com on this forum and i decided to check them out.
i ended up getting a resilite 10' x 10' x 1.25" mat for $375.
the mat is a remnent home wrestling mat.
i had my doubts when i looked at the pictures on the website, i thought the product would be kinda ragged and have a used look, man was i wrong. i thought they mixed something up and sent me a new mat, it looks great. the mat came in two seperate 5' x 10' rolls, coated in cornstarch to reduce sticking. i had to sweep and wipe the powder off before i brought it in my house.
there are more creases than shown in the picture, i assume it may smooth out over time, but i don't mind. the mats are a lot softer than i expected, and there were only a small amount of imperfections found (one or two scratches and a little bit of paint bleeding). as you can see in the picture i store them in my room stacked, it's a great place for minor exercise and stretching, my niece also likes to play on them. when i use them i will take them to a more open area (i'm currently injured) the ONLY negative thing is that they give off a chemical/rubbing alcohol type odor, the instructions say it only lasts for 24-48 hours. oh ya, the shipping took under 2 weeks, which suprised me because i have bad luck with fedex.
it's a bit late and im tired from stuffing myself for thanksgiving, so if there are any questions i didn't address go ahead and post them and i'll try to answer.
9/10 just because i wish they were cheaper and didn't smell
