In the history books, Islam's win over Poirier will go down as a D'Arce choke. Except, it wasn't a typical D'Arce choke.

In a traditional D'Arce choke, the choker connects their arms in an RNC type grip. Islam didn't do this. He used a much more shallow grip, gripping his mid-forearm instead of his bicep:
