Most of the noobs will have no idea what I'm talking about, and I'm sure some snitching turd will report that it's in the wrong forum, but back then every real hardcore UFC/Pride fan was watching the big K-1 matchups as well, and Kid fought in UFC as well.

Anyway, I remember it being a wild back n forth scrap with both dudes swinging for the fences and getting dropped at times. The good ol' days, too bad the UFC is such a shitty promotion at making a spectacle, the Japanese really knew how to build up a fight.

RIP Kid.

This is exactly what this UFC discussion forum needed.

Great fight. Kid Yamamoto did better against Masato than most of the kickboxers he fought. Not bad for a guy who started as a wrestler.

Legendary cross over. How kid manage to knock down a great like Masato I wud never understand. Masato proceeded to do work after that tho lol. I prob won't ever see fights like this ever again. Miss those days
