Does Dana not allow fighters to have a rematch clause's in their contract? Pretty standard for top Boxers, you would think when Stipe had the belt and some leverage, he would have negotiated that before the fight with DC.

you would think right. Dana doesnt give shit to the fighters. Literally NOTHING. he gives some shit to his draws but thats because they are draws not because they are fighters.
 
Dana doesn't even give them video game royalties. And you think he's giving out rematch clauses?

That's bullshit anyway. If you get knocked out or submitted, you don't deserve a rematch.

Immediate rematches should only be for split decisions, early stoppages, DQs ECT.

Are you asking me if I know that Dana doesn't write the contract. Yeah assumed a team of Lawyers does that, but Dana is definitely involved when it comes to contract negotiations.

I think you mean BOTH don't because one will.

Star boxer and his promoter put a rematch clause in so that if the star loses he gets another go. Fuck the other boxer, if he loses he's not getting another go.
If it's a cross promotion and 2x promoters and 2x star boxes then maybe they both have a rematch clause but probably not.

The UFC has both fighters under contract so they can match or rematch them with whoever they like.

He couldn't train so he's recovery time and ability to take punishment suffered greatly. I guess Cains chin and cardio came back during the next two fights because... magic?
 
If the Ali Act is extended to MMA, it might give fighters more power to demand things like that in their contracts.

Could you tell me how to train the area behind my ear for getting punched by a heavy weight boxer? How would getting hit a bunch more times in training help me with that? Be specific.

Please no. Please please no. I'm all for increasing fighter's powers but not every changing of the guard needs a rematch.

Bisping, Lawler, Werdum, Etc shouldn't and didn't get rematches.

Cardio/endurance is directly related to your ability to take punishment and recover from hard shots. You get this from training. Sometimes you can't train if you are hurt. Are you following so far?
