Like, also note dictatorship, over corruption, crime, etc need to be investigated. A buddy is a digital nomad. Awkward af. Can’t get a coffee date. Over seas, he has better luck. He has been roughed up by cops and had bad experiences being naive.

Everywhere is corrupt. Which places are less corrupt? More safe?

i guess many western guys ,eg from EU, US etc , will have far far better chances to score in south america with far far better dimes than in the EU / US

So not sure I'd want to move to a country that's about to get bombed / missile attacked for no reason whatsoever other than to pander to an insecure man's Ego.

Not a good idea. I live in usvi stj. Most Americans are fleeing the abcd islands and most of the Caribbean in the South.
They aren't bombing Venezuelans half the time but claiming it but everyone down here knows it which staters look worse

Very friendly if you speak Spanish and aren't from the Continental states but rights it's iffy.
Maduro is pretty desperate but it's South America and no is in a hurry to do anything but it's chaos so it could go a decade or end in a month

Get a passport that is not from the USA and learn Español

what was your experience then ?

Beautiful place but was pretty sketchy. Chavez was in power back then and there were riots prior to us going there so there was military everywhere. M16's at McDonald's. Lots of poverty. No walking around after dark. Traffic laws are just a suggestion. I remember we went to a nightclub and there was a 3 story drop off right next to the dance floor. No guard rail of any type. It was pretty wild.
