What's your opinion on them?

They are a band I've always listened to since I was a kid, and I didn't care for Stadium Arcadium, but it even had some memorable songs.

Anyone seen them in concert? I have yet to see them :'( but I hope to someday in the near future.

Without john i think.they are mostly forgettable. They have been rehashing the same music for a while now. I liked everything up to by the way but stadium and the newer album are forgettable.

I really like them. Their hit and miss with their albums (One Hot Minute was awful) but generally speaking I'm a fan. I'd love to see them live.

I love them. I grew up with them and they've always been one of my favorites. Stadium Arcadium is great too--probably my 2nd favorite album after Blood Sugar Sex Magik. They're perfect music for road trips, because you can start an album and never have to press skip.

I have seem them live, and while the concert was good, I wasn't exactly blown away by them. I think I built it up too much in my head. It was also Klinghoffer on the guitar. I will agree with the above poster that said without John Frusciante they are mostly forgettable.

I saw them live on New Years Eve 1991 at the Cow Palace in San Fran.
There were three bands: Pearl Jam, Nirvana and RHCP were the closing act. It was a great concert but Pearl Jam stole the show.

I've always liked the Chilies since Magic Johnson and Sexy Mexican Maid.

I like their music a lot,

I just saw them in Oakland last year and in Sacramento several years before that.

Saw them in New Orleans a few months ago. Good times. They put on a better show than I expected.

I saw them live about 14 years ago, then again about 9 years ago.Great show both times. Don't listen to them all that often these days.

Great band. Saw them live a few times, good stuff. Prefer them with John, but shit happens.

Dave Navarro and RHCP were not a good fit and the album was doomed from the beginning. They recorded that album during a bad time in the bands history and the music reflects that I guess.

I enjoy a lot of their music (including Stadium Arcadium. I think it's great) and I also agree that John is necessary. He's a weirdo, but in a good way. I've never seen them live, but I've heard they aren't the best live band (at least the music itself. I know they have a lot of energy and showmanship). And Californication is great.

Saw them in 2007 or 2008. Was awesome but I got wayyyy too fucked and I can`t remember the second half of the show. When the lights went out and they came out thousands of lighters sparked up and the whole place had smoke rise up. Was as close to a stadium hotbox as you can get.

They`re one of my fav bands. The train home was filled with party animals. I`d say the train home was even more fun than the concert lol.

One Hot Minute is my favourite RHCP album......never understood the hate for it.

i'm getting kinda long in the tooth,so much so that if i was competing i'd need trt...that being said it makes me old enough to have been around when the RHCP toured Mother's Milk,i kinda tuned out after One Hot Minute,so everything up till then,i'd still listen too.

Love them. They have declined since Californication but they are still a good band to have around.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I don't really dig Dave Navarro, but I'm certainly not trying to take a shot at anyone who does. I just mean many of the bands fans (and even band members themselves) were disappointed with the overall sound. I guess my initial post should have been that it was doomed for those of us with different expectations.

I like them although the radio only plays 2 of their songs

I agree that its as good as their other albums. It was definitely different from their other body of work but thats a good thing.
