There are so many interesting characters in real life and they can have their own movies and it would be an original. Examples:
Count Dante: I covered him before. A legit karate guy who made shit up on top of his decent skills to make himself sound legendary. Mr. Satan from dragonball is the closest thing to a fictional character. He also had a pet lion and was a part time hair dresser while promoting himself as the deadliest fighter on the planet.
Tommy Karate: Abused as a child, learns karate, joins the mafia, kills in a same manner as a serial killer to the point that even the five families were very disturbed by him. Tragic life because he was good at karate and was a good kid until serious abuse messed him up. Did become a made guy and a capo for the Bonnano crime family but even mafiosos stayed away from him.
Colonel Sanders: The founder of KFC was a truly wild man. He was railroad worker who got fired because of brawling with a co-worker. Then he became a lawyer but he ended by brawling with his own client. Started his own diner but got in to a shoot out with rival diner owner and the rival shot a police officer and went to prison and David Sanders became the only game in town. Diner turned in to a gas station, offered fried chicken, became famous, had a family, wife left with kids but got ambushed when Colonel sanders jump from a tree like a fucking ninja. Legit dark comedy.
Overall, there are real interesting characters in different sectors of life from martial arts, crime and business who have interesting stories or paths to their success or rise and fall that is worth making a movie that is truly original.
