Rafael Lovato Jr makes Bellator debut this Friday!

Just wanted to get the word out. I'm super stoked for this. He is stepping up to a bigger stage after going 4-0 in legacy. His jiu jitsu is awesome for mma and as his student I'm obviously biased but even from an outside perspective of you are a Bjj fan this is one to watch. Big Pygmy Justin Wren is now training in OK with us and Rafael and will be fighting on the card as well. A month after this Rafael is competing in an ADCC Trials super fight against Buchecha which I'm equally excited for I hope you guys all tune in!

I'm really looking forward to it. The only worry I have with Lovato is that he likes his striking too much, he needs to go full Maia and just look for the TD and mat domination. He definitely was in some danger in his last fight because he was trying to strike too much when closing the distance rather than setting up the shot with punches and looking to take it to the ground right away.

The lead leg high kick is a good sneaky move though; Donald Cerrone has used it to great effect.
