Hey All, Happy Holidays Sherdoggies.

So I have a basic questions what are the pros/cons of training with quick wraps vs traditional wraps. I am lazy as fuck and hate wrapping my hands, and carrying the bulky handwraps to and from the gym.

Are there disadvantages to quick wraps vs traditional wraps? Is one safer than the other for any reason?

I am fairly novice. I am hitting the bag, Light sparring, mostly just hitting the mitts and give and take drills for RECREATIONAL use. I am not going to compete or be the next Anderson Silva and I am not throwing HAymakers at anyones face or even the bag.

Also Are Everlast evergel any good? I've used them before but since I'm buying a new handwrap solution I want to make sure I get a good one that is safe and will protect my hands.

I used the search function and could not find anything other than specific Brand Handwrap Reviews.

Thanks!

I've tried those exact Evercrap quick wraps and found them pretty useless. I wound up just throwing them on occasionally for the double end bag, and even that light of a workload tore them in a few months. Traditional wraps all the way.

Nothing beats traditional man. Those quick wrap things are just like wearing fingerless gloves they dont do much and they arent exactly durable either.

Me personally i use one Le Roy wrap for my knuckles and then a "Mexican" style hand wrap for the rest of my hand and wrist for added support.

Lazy and boxing usually don't mix. Take 5 minutes and wrap your hands properly. Those quick wraps are both garbage protection and quality.

I have the Everlast quick wraps and they are mainly for home use. I use them under my gloves if I'm just doing light bag work on my Wavemaster or BOB. Any other time is traditional wraps.
