I've been thinking about buying a pair Jaco's resurgence shorts lately. I just wanted to ask anybody here who has experience with them if they run true to size or should I maybe get a size larger. From reading a few reviews about it, I'm aware that they have a unique waist-tightening system (Which I don't really know too much about) and I don't know whether I should factor that into my decision. I'm about 145 lbs and a size 30.

I usually wear a size 32, and I got a size up at 34, and it was way too big, so I returned it and got 32, so for me, it was true to size

I went with my jean size and it is a great fit. I have a bit of ghetto booty so I gotta wiggle past my butt, otherwise they fit amazingly well.

After reading a ton of reviews, I decided to go a size up...i'm about a 31" waist and I went with the 34" shorts. To be honest, I probably could have went with the 32" shorts. But I'm still able to tighten the 34s so they don't fall off.

Definitely fit true to size for me (wear 32" jeans, bought a 32" pair of Resurgence shorts).

Bit of a tight squeeze to get 'em on, but once they're on they fit fine.

I'm selling a brand new pair with tags. They are size 34, white and I want 35 plus shipping for them.

yeah man once you get them over and onto your waist they fit perfect with a inch or so room

I guess it's the material of the bamboo and the cut of the shorts..... but once they're on they fit perfect

Thanks for the reply guys. I guess I'm going to have to go with a 30" then.

Hey mate. I'm about 145-150 with a 30" inch waist as well. I ordered a 32 and it's perfectly fine.

Here's my review:

lol These are exactly the same pair I wanted to get, Brandon Vera's. You bring up a good point in your review about the white shorts getting dirty. The problem is that I can get the white version on ebay for a much cheaper price :icon_neut

What are you talking about "bamboo" for? That's only in their T-shirts, isn't it?
The shorts are just one big stretch panel.

my bad! ignore my fail plz

sorry the polyster material or whatever it is. i dunno it's more about the fit that makes them snugs

The fit fine for me. Once you get used to getting in to them, they fit great.

Before ordering, I had searched for info on the Jaco shorts, most reviews agreed that they run on the small size mostly because of the Jaco closure system and having to "squeeze" into the shorts.

I wear a 36 in my regular board shorts so opted for a 38 in the Jaco. I definitely would have fit just fine in the 36s but I'm very happy I went with the 38s since they do tend to run on the shorter side. The 38s are perfect length slightly above the knees( I'm just short of 6'0) and with the functional closure system, I have yet to have the shorts fall while doing work outs

They are some of the shortest MMA style shorts out there...

is that a bad thing though? for me the rest a bit above the knee.

I'm not too bothered really- they're cool

Vera had some custom Jacos now those were the shortest ones i had seen!

It is purely a matter of taste, but it's something that many people seem to care about. They're quite far up on the thigh for me.
