hey guys, first time poster long time lurker. I have a question for people who are around the pasadena area. Has anyone heard of Kerr MMA? The sijo/sifu's name is David Kerr and he claims a lot of stuff here are his stats and his web page. web page here I tried to find him on fight stats but cannot find anything. The price is luring me but his experience seems very extensive to the point where its almost lies. Any info? is this a mcdojo? I drove across his place before and I think its in a storage place. Is he known?

85 views and no reply? :icon_evil Is it because everyone knows about him that they don't reply, or is he a nobody?

no one yet? Well anyway I tried to dig up his name with some google and I think he used to be a teacher from temple city high, I believe it was history and/or football. Rumors say he was fired from the school because of some verbal abuse with a student and another rumor about doing lewd acts with a minor. This is not to attack his credibility or anything but I still cannot find anything martial arts related besides his location and webpage. Any information is helpful!

Oh wow, 60 full contact fights, in the 90's, retired undefeated you say?

Seems legit...

Full contact doesn't mean NHB, vale tudo or MMA. It just means full contact as opposed to point fighting.

60 full contact fights could be reasonable, if we're assuming he means full contact karate, or something of that nature.

That said, it appears to be a wing chun/crappling gym. Not a gym I'd waste any time at.

What is wrong with wing chun and grappling? 60 undefeated does sound like a very big statement. Anyone else has their opinion they would like to share? Or even better yet experiences?

just stick with proven and effective methods such as muay thai and bjj. all other stuff have been proven to be ineffective in the cage. ideally a bjj only academy and a muay thai only academy.

You can't have a place named 'Kerr's MMA gym' and not have it owned by Mark 'The Smashing Machine' Kerr. That shit's just wrong.

Not trolling, Cost is a big factor for me and I just wanted to get into some kind of martial art that is useful in the cage if I ever get good enough to and is practical in the street for defense. I checked out a lot of gyms and the average is about 125 and up.
