NFL Is the NFL Rigged? ( Sir Elzio Mega Discussion )

That was great, thank you.

In his book....LIFE....Rolling Stone Keith Richards talks about being in Mississippi for some gig, he slips off ending up in a black juke joint, he talks about the closest thing to heaven on earth the best time he ever had.

I own all that old blues stuff, it's as if I don't belong it's another world and I'm just peeking in.

Some white cats like Elvis knew about them blues, most whites.......no jungle shit for me..big mistake,

I do play harmonica and can fake some slide, with the harmonica on a rake

gots me a woman
lives down the street
she ain't good looking
but shes mighty sweet

harmonica solo
I've got a lot of blues but reading this made me realize I haven't gave it much listening time in a while. I have a video of my kid dancing to hooker

Now how cool is that, kid growing up to John Lee Hooker, whoa~~~

There is prewar or before the early 40;s and post war, stuff that came after.

Hooker, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf BB King, Sonny Boy Williamson, Jimmy Reed, Lightnin; Hopkins, the best of post war.

Robert Johnson, Memphis Minnie, Big Bill Broonzy, Leroy Carr, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Bessie Smith prewar

Charley Patton an aquired taste,

But, you probably knew that,

I originally found the blues through notes and thanks in rock cassette/cd inserts, I'm pretty sure it started with leadbelly for me. Also my interest in the blues developed with my childhood love of the blues brothers movie( as a music lover you might not appreciate that reference but it renewed popularity )

I haven't watched the Superbowl since I got a DUI on the way home from a party 10 years ago. I don't drink anymore, don't gamble and I don't watch reg season football. The half time show should be more average person friendly but that's just my opinion

Love the stories, good stuff, ah........not that DUI obviously.

My Lead Belly story.....

Many moons ago I buy a Lead Belly CD at Borders, get it home managed to get it out of that funky wrap, put it in the player,

After a few tracks...........there is a house in New Orleans they call the rising sun.........WHAT????????

i knew he had died in 1949, and the Animals didn;t record that until the 60's, so..........???

Detective time,

Come to find out that was a way back in the day tune belonging to a hillbillie named Clarence Ashley talking 1933.

Like everybody else I had thought that was an Animals tune, nope, they covered it.

Remember that catchy tune in Oh Brother Where Art Thou, ya know..........Man of Constant Sorrow. That is even older thinking 1927, the original.

Those two above, Dock Boggs. Jimmie Rodgers, The Skillett Lickers, The Carter Family, Frank Hutchison, Darby & Tarlton the best of old white blues/country all pre 1935.

Bad Bunny, hahahahaha~~~~

Getting back to Purdy

His career comp% and passer rating are FAR superior to what Brady had after 4 seasons AND are superior to what Brady ended up with

67 and 104 is better than most the Hall of Famers as is his TD/INT ratio.

If he can stay healthy he will be up there among the elite someday.

And.....his 3.9 rushing average the same as Hall of Fame RB Floyd Little.

Time to move him up to third on that all time Niners QB list....

Joe Montana....Superbowl
Steve Young....;Superbowl
Brock Purdy....Superbowl
YA Tittle...Hall of Fame
John Brodie
Alex Smith
Jeff Garcia
Jimmy G..,Superbowl
Colin "Crybaby" Kaepernick....Superbowl
Frankie Albert

Niners the only team with five different SB QB;s

Gale Sayers had an older bro named Roger he was a world ranked sprinter, Gale the best HS long jumper in the nation.
Cam Newton won the national JC title while at Blinn, won the NCAA title at Auburn and the Heisman, won the NFC and the MVP
The Rocks dad Rocky Johnson was a sparring partner for Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) the dude more buffed than The Rock

Odd Job from the James Bond movies was rassler Harold Sakata
The Thing the monster was James Arnese from Gunsmoke fame
Christian McCafreys grandpa was Olympic 100m silver medalist Dave Sime
Christian "Nigerian Nightmrare" Okpye a great discus thrower for Nigeria
Hacksaw Butch Reed a former Kansas City Chief
Dusty Rhodes got that name off an old baseballer
OJ Simpson ran a leg on a world record 4x1 team at USC, rare for a college team
Speaking of college teams, in 1960 we brought in the Tigerbelles in the ladies 4x1 talking 1960 Olympics, a first and a last., yep..gold.
From 1901 to 1905 Michigan scored over 2000 points gave up less tan 50, won them all except the last game in 1905 losing 2-0 to Chicago
Morris Stroud was a 6-10 TE for the Chiefs
When Tyreek Hill was in HS he ran a 20.14 200m, the HS record was 20.13 by future Olympian Roy "Robot" Martin
West Texas State had a dozen former footballers become pro rasslers
That Chiefs team from SB 1 had seven future Hall of Famers on it, that Packer team had nine, that's 16,.....a record?
Walter Payton was seen dancing on Soul Train pre Bears days
That 85 Bears D gave up a mere 12 points a game, this Seahawks D.....17
Would hate to be an Army or Navy WR, that has to suck
Speaking of Army they once had Mr Inside Doc Blanchard and Mr. Outside Glenn Davis (9.6 sprinter) both winning a Heisman
The first 1000 yard rusher for the Chiefs was North Texas Abner Haynes, he was the first black to play college football in Texas
Story goes baseballer Cool Papa Bell was so fast he once hit a grounder between first and second, and while rounding first for second he had to jump over the ball, hmmmm?
Boxer George "Little Cocolate" Dixon the first black to hold a world title had over 800 bouts in his career.
Boxer Tom Molineax was a slave, he won so much $$$$ for his owner he was given his freedom, he;d end up over in Europe fighting for the world title
Jesse Owens had a 3-7 record vs Temple sprinter Eulace Peacock in the 100, Peacock injured in 1936 so no Olympics
Heavyweight boxer Jack Dempsey stold that name from a lighter weight boxer named Jack Dempsey

Just sayin'

Lenny Montana

The fastest 40 ever ran,

This cat was a HS footballer he is the current world record holder in the 60 at 6.34, he is also a 9.7 cat at 100m and one of the fastest sprinters in the world right now.

But ....Bo Jackson ran,,,,,I seriously doubt that, he had great speed for a guy his size but he was just a 10.39 cat, and never did shit in the 60 at Auburn, there is nothing that remotely hints he was a 4.1 anything in a 40, I would buy 4.3 low.

There are 7 Hall of Famers up there

And Hall of Famers YA Tittle and John Henry Johnson on the bench

Speed Receivers All Time 100m

Perspective....Tyreek Hill PR10.15

Also Raider****

Lane

1.Willie Gault Bears 10.10****...beat Darrell Green NCAA
2.Cliff Branch Raiders 10.1 hand timed
3.Sam Graddy Broncos 10.09****
4.Bob Hayes Cowboys WR 10..06
5.Ron Brown Rams 10.06****
6.Jacoby Ford Raiders 10.01.
7.Willie McGee Chargers WR 9.1 yards
8.Alvis Whiited Raiders 10.07

B

Lane

1.Mel Gray Cards 9.2
2.Isacc Curtis Bengals 9.3
3.James Jett Raiders 10.16
4.Tyreek Hill Chiefs 10.15
5.Frank Budd Eagles WR 9.2
6.Johnny Jones Jets 9.3
7.Mike Miller Packers 10,11....beat Darrell Green NCAA
8.JD Hill Bills 9.3

Obviously Randy Moss had great speed but no speed credentials, I would guess 10.15ish

Won't count Olympians Jimmy Hines and Tommie Smith they didn't do shit,yep.....failed experiments.

Speaking of Olympics there are seven of them up above.

White WR 100

lane

1.Don Maynard Jets
2.Don Beebe Bills
3.Jordy Nelson Packers
4.Lance Aworth Chargers
5.Chris Collinsworth Bengals
6.Roger Carr Colts
7.Tim Dwight Falcons
8. John Roderick Dolphins 9.3

Roderick was out of SMU he had some success and his 9.3 makes him the fastest of the white NFLers.

Don Beebe was more a 60 cat

ESPN did a 10 FASTEST NFLers, it was comical hell they had Darrell Green above Bob Hayes, are you kidding me?

Bullet Bob ran his 10.06 on a bad diirt track in 1964, and was in lane one, That is the lane the distance runners tear up. And he was just a college kid only 22 if he'd stayed in track UP in Mexico City at those Olympics in 1968 vs Jimmy Hines he cooks a 9.85 at 26 the prime years

That is what Track & Field News predicted, I agree.

in that race there was Canadian Harry Jerome who had a win over Hayes and Cuba's Enrique Figurerola, why Hayes wasn;t in a middle lane between them, ??? If he had of been we see the first sub10,00.

Hayes did run a 9,92 in the heats but it was wind aided, so didn't count,

I expect.....

Stafford to look like what he is a future Hall of Famer
Darnold will have a few bad plays
Maye will get by but nothing .....wow
Stidham will crash and burn, poor guy in that position

How will young Mendoza deal with losing and he will as a Raider. He does appear a bit fragile/sensitive, that will not work in pro football.

Don't like to see grown men wimpering around something he does, not a good sign, hell THE SNAKE, THE MAD BOMBER, now bohoo boohoo, hmmmm?

According to my Power Points

We will be seeng a Seahawks vs Patriots Superbowl

So far that PP system has been perfect, the team with the superior PP has won every playoff game.

The system

3 points road win
2 points home win
1 point road loss
0 point home loss

Point differental, if plus 110, ya get an 11, plus 155 ya get 15 etc, if minus like the Panthers no points

Then ya add it all up

Been doing that for a long time, usually miss a couple, this season..........perfect.....so far.

In that Rams vs Seahawks game we have that double road Rams vs that double home Seahawks, not good for the Rams BUT.............I just can't go with Darnold over Stafford in a big must win game.

Now watch my PP kick my ass.

Just like a movie

In 1985 the Bears were kicking ass they were undefeated and zeroing in on that Dolphins undefeated season, so......

There they are in Miami on MNF, guess what, yep, Marino and his Dolphins kick Bear ass and save that undefeated season for their fellow Dolphins That would be the only game the Bears lost in 85.

That Bears MONSTER D only gave up 12 points a game. Who does that?

Don;t fuck it up offense, and run Walter that was about it.

The Frig an oddity at 300 pounds.

If I'm the Pats I use both backs out there in tantum, wear that D down and make Stidham have to come from behind, yeah right.

Do think they have the best RB duo left.

Henderson returned kickoffs at OSU, got some juicel

Starting RB;s who also returned kicks

Jimmy Brown early on****
Gale Sayers
Terry Metcalf
Timmy Brown
Bobby Mitchell
Ollie Matson
Paul Lowe
Abner Haynes
Wilbert Motgomery
Eric Metcalf

Obviously these guys make too much $$$$ today to gamble using them on a kick return

**** imagine a 230 pounder returning kickoffs, what a sight.
