It started just now - I open the forums and get this privacy pop-up window - "We value your privacy ... Accept all ... blah blah blah ... Powered by Admiral"
I go to "Purposes" or "Partners", click "save&exit", the pop-up window goes away ... until the next page. What is going on? Why doesnt it save my selection and let me be?

Yeah, its a big pain in the ass. I have ublock origin and that was doing it until today.

It's a really shitty arrangement. I took the 7 minutes to go through the entire list of vendors and click off consent for each one and then clicked save and then it popped right back up the next thing I clicked.

Super annoying.

I fell for it the first time - went through dozens of pages of "partners" and removed consent... only to find out it wouldnt accept my settings. on a slightly unrelated note, it was quite an eye-opener - how many "partners" they are selling your personal information to. anyway, disabling javascript got rid of that annoying popup.

It's the "Store and/or access information on a device" setting that seems to have an effect on the pop-up. If you enable it, then it will stop appearing. It's definitely untrustworthy though, like all companies that want your data despite clearly not actually needing it. You can re-open and disable a few of the partners through the lock icon on the bottom-right of your screen.

Turns out you can also just use the Block Element feature with uBlock on the greyed out background caused by the pop-up, which disables it entirely without needing to enable any of the settings.

I've brought it to the attention of our Tech team, we are looking into it. It appears to be an international issue, and not based in the U.S., so we'll see what we can do. I apologize for the inconvenience you're encountering right now, and I was able to duplicate the issue myself.

It should be down now. Please let me know immediately if you continue to encounter this repeated issue.

Why do these ad pop ups happen it'll take me from the site to this and I'm on my phone it only happens here

Working fine now. I had the problem previously, as well, but would not be an issue when my VPN was turned on. Thanks for fixing this!
