I'm going with prime/pre pasta/pre back injury Matt Serra

Dude's jiu jitsu and hand game was on point back then.
 
Being completely serious, have you watched Serra's fights leading up to his title win?
 
Matt Serra, as great a coach and personality as he is, was never an elite fighter. He was a mid level UFC fighter a decade ago and probably couldn't get a win single against today's competition (if he were somehow in his prime again).
 
I loved his first fight against Shonie Carter (even though he lost in spectacular fashion) and have been a fan of his ever since.
 
In a fight? Conor would kill him barring some GSP 1 moment
 
I'm going out on a limb and picking the guy 2 weight classes heavier. Serra would take this.
 
I think Serra would destroy him. He's 2 weightclasses above and was a champion.

Matt beat Gsp fair and square but the term"Gsp killer" is an oxymoron. He would rag doll Conor.

Serra was NOT a legit 170lb fighter. Grow up. He had BJ syndrome when it came to not wanting to cut weight.
 
Serra would win the fight standing and on the ground. Conor is just not very talented and is unathletic.
 
I always liked watching Serras early UFC fights because he was super aggressive with his BJJ. It was really different and cool.

That being said, Serra has one submission in 14 UFC fights. I don't know why, but he just wasn't able to get it done. So naw. I don't think that he'd beat conner
 
Bench racing sucks in all forms.

Serra wasn't that impressive in his prime, some rose-colored glasses by fans because he's entertaining and a nice guy.

Blue car by 3 lengths.
 
i think current serra takes him.. he looks like a 200lb monster lately!
 
I think he would get TKO by McGregor at LW , especially over 5 rounds.

but now I think Serra would just smother him like pancakes.
