Would Fedor have won this fight in his prime? Or would it have ended with his defeat like the first match?

its hard to say. Prime Fedor was great everywhere and wasnt a head hunter. Am isaying that prime fedor could have survived in Werdums guard? no way, there isnt a fighter on earth that can sit in werdums guard safely, however prime Fedor would fight Werdum intelligently and blitz the living shit out of him against the ropes/fence and would have fucking MURDERED him in the clinch.

Prime Fedor fought Werdum, and he lost, cause he thought he could beat Werdum the same way he beat Nog, and underestimated Werdum's bjj.

I still believe Fedor would have won an instant rematch, though, cause he would have learned from his mistakes and (at least at that point in time) had better striking than Werdum.

Well fedor always seemed to fight to his opponents strengths and danced with fire. He finally got burned, and i dont think prime really had anything to do with getting careless against one of the best mma grapplers of all time.

werdum was a relative late bloomer in mma. he fought hard and well earlier in his career, but he didn't establish his current skill set until later in his career.

fedor was in his prime between 2003 - 2008. fedor then would win a UD over werdum.

Just because he was still undefeated doesn't mean he was in his prime.

Fedor.

Still would pick Fedor against Werdum if he wins a couple tune up fights.

Werdum's guard is getting way overhyped. Reem and Hunto were just fine in it, recently.. Fedor just went full retard trying to finish Werdum and made a mistake, that's all. I see a lot of guys being okay, including Fedor, if they stay careful and composed like Fedor was fighting Nogueira.

Can't believe it took 5 posts to /thread this shit

I am far from a Fedor nut hugger but Werdum in that fight was fighting zombidor. Fedor walked into that
triangle and then faced the wrath of Sherdog. 'Triangles Who Do You Solve Them?" Something along these lines clown posse style. Fedor at that point became really disinterested in the sport.

How about Prime Fedor vs Prime Motivated BJ Penn at catchweight of 215 at 1 mile elevation?

or Prime Ali with 3 years of Judo training with Judo Gene Lebell and 6 months training BJJ with Rickson vs Prime Fedor training with the Blackzilians for 2 years, on Mars?

or a Prime Chuck with that look in his eyes vs a Prime Crocop, but with no LHK's allowed?

What are the chances of any of these ridiculous scenarios happening?

A big fat ZERO!

Fedor might win now(he has better stand up, power, strong TDD and a strong clinch game), he just fought with a horrible gameplan. Prime Fedor beats prime Werdum.

Werdum didn't sub Hunt, Sergei, Nog the first time, Bigfoot or Overeem, didn't really threaten any of them either. His guard is excellent but its not THAT good, nobodies is the same way theres no super wrestler who can take everyone down at will and no super striker who can't be beaten standing.

I think today's Fedor could even beat Werdum in a rematch, I think he learned from his mistakes and if he lost again it would be in a dramatically different way.

I would take Fedor

Was just about to post about the Hunt/Werdum fight. Hunt for gods sake was in Werdums guard for a few minutes.

People acting like Werdums guard is insta sub or something.
