Lesnar loves to ground and pound and Werdum loves to be on his back.

Fascinating fight nonetheless.

Werdum has a HW GOAT case. Lesnar's whole career was only possible because HW in his era was the worst division in MMA history.

Ref should have stopped the Carwin fight. Struggled to beat Mark Hunt.

Didn't HW's in his era consist of JDS, Carwin, Cain, Mir, Kongo, Barry etc? I guess i agree with your overall point. Werdum either liver kicks him to death or puts him to sleep lol

Yes at the end. But Lesnar's career and then becoming champ was only possible because of the Couture,Sylvia, Arlvoski era. Once those guys you mentioned got to the top Lesnar was done.

All the shit we're talking about was just like 2-3 years. HW went from historically awful to the best it had ever been awfully fast, just like Lesnars MMA career.

I think Werdum would have more problem with Brock if Brock layed and prayed. Using his size with his wrestling to control.
GNP would actually open up space for Werdum to work his magic.
I like Brock but Werdum would tear him apart limb by limb.

Brock Lesnar wins this one if they both fight in their prime. Lesnar was subbed by Mir with little to no knowledge of submissions in his second ever MMA fight on the biggest stage. Take that in for a minute... Lesnar was a massive man, a Division 1 NCAA Wrestling Champion. He manhandled the Texas Crazyhorse. Werdum was a decorated BJJ Champion who in the latter part of his career had a few knockouts but in his prime he was an average boxer. Not enough to stop Lesnar, Shane Carwin couldn't and he hit like a Mack truck. Werdum would not be able to stop Lesnar from taking him down, in fact may go to his back thinking he had an advantage but the sheer strength, size , and wrestling of Lesnar would of been too much. Note: I'm referring to the Lesnar pre-diverticulitis. Once he had that he was never the same, was just an average UFC fighter.

Not even a question. Brock would be the lesser on the ground and standing both. Doubt he could survive long on the ground.

Werdum actually was better later in his career when he was past his physical prime. His striking and overall MMA game got better.

Doom would be the favorite no doubt.

Brock had that one Mir performance though, the lay n pray one. He was very measured and focused in that one so it's hard to say who wins if that Brock shows up.

But Doom, definitely.

Hold on, in which Mir fight did Brock lay n pray?

The one where he was got submitted?
Or the one where he let Mir stand up, then took him back down and smashed his face into strawberry jam?
Was there a third fight I'm not aware of?
