Back then it still felt fresh and MMA was developing at such a high pace. I enjoyed it more, when every match was a style-clash and techniques were introduced or made extinct from year to year. Still enjoy it, but the first mixed martial artists, as opposed to traditional martial artists crossing over, was the first sign that the golden age was about to end. Silver age ain't bad though.
