I was thinking about this. This is basically the Cody vs TJ matchup. Was McGregor the first athlete to quote this or is it someone else's quote?

True, TJ looked markedly slower in there.

It made the win all the more satisfying, to see him use his martial arts skill, and more diverse set of techniques to overcome the speed/power disadvantage and get the KO.

Precision beats power, timing beats speed....and panic wrestling gets you choked out, and poor cardio gets you knocked around the ring by 40 year olds.

Did i just read this right
Are conor haters now saying they think losing to mayweather in a boxing ring is shameful?
I mean the hating conor i can sorta get
The hating his coach by proxy was sad but i can get that bias can do that to you ok
But losing a boxing match to mayweather is shameful now cause hes 40? The fucker could still whup most top 10 boxers let alone conor

Made it one quality comment before hate. Aldo sucks now I forgot.

Precision power beats power but a volume fighter can land punches for 4 1/2 rounds but that one power shot can erase all that. it's a catch 22 is the power guy going to land or is he going to get out pointed before he lands. It is another Monday morning quarterback moment.

Conor is a walking contradiction. He says that line and then proceeds to talk about virtually nothing else but what a power puncher he is.

The guy really can be full of shit

I don't think it applies TS as power was a big key in TJ's success in this fight. Dominick Cruz had great timing and precision as well as speed. But he didn't have the power to hurt Cody. TJ on the other hand actually has power that Cruz didn't. Cody got arrogant and thought he could walk through any BW and it cost him. The lesson here is arrogance leaves you open (See Bisping/Rockhold as well). Always respect your opponent, no matter who they are..

I was thinking that when Floyd whooped his ass.
