Imagine you are knocked out and the opponent sees you stiff and runs across the octagon racing the refree to hit you again faster than the ref who tries to call it off. Results broken face, brain fluid leaking trough nose and life long titanium in your face. Awful. And unecessary. The promotions and fans need to discourage this. Fighters need to change.

I get it but I don't know the solution.

They say fight until the ref stops it or pulls you off, we've seen guys not take that follow up thinking a ref was going to step in, then they didn't, so idk.

I do think when someone is clearly out cold, like in this situation, you shouldn't really do what happened here, or what Hendo did to (iirc, been a while) Bisping.

I just know not every situation that leads to unnecessary shots begins with someone being out stiff. Those are the ones I'm not sure how to solve.

Dude, we don't even have a HW champ/division, we can't get champs to stop vacating their belts the moment they win them. And if they achieve dbl champ status, they want to cherry pick opponents or take 10 months off for their divorce

Don't even think about campaigning for taking away my super necessary late hits on unconscious bodies, lol

May as well just have them all play laser tag or hide and seek at this rate

I think the problem is that fighters... not all of them, but obviously a lot, go into that "latched on pitbull" mode

Thru the lens of a regular sane person.. of course.
If a dude is CLEARLY shut off, stiff, thats a wrap, yeah, don't smash their face.

Watch street fight videos.

That "pitbull" mentality is in a decent percent of people.

Refs gotta be on point and appropriately sized for the weight class they are calling and be willing to put their body on the line.

Yet you have others on here wanting stomps and soccer kicks to be legal. Can't please everyone.

Don't disagree; but it's going to be difficult to come up with a "rule" for the fighters to follow.
I'd argue that training refs better when it comes to effectively stopping the fights would be easier.
Yes, but I also like golf

Wouldn't mind seeing those; just not to unconscious opponents.
