Big star power no doubt, but how often will he defend? Can he be an active champ like Pereira or Volk? Doubtful. But hopefully he's not once a year like he has been the last few years.

I hope the UFC does Abu-Dhabi PPV in FEB instead of Australia, which seems likely if Volk fights in DEC. Ramadan starts FEB 17th, do Abu-Dhabi PPV FEB 14th.

Imavov deserves next title shot but I dont think his style is conducive to beating Khamzat.

I think Fluffy makes for the best fight but hard to give him a title shot off a Dolidze win, which isn't his fault that the UFC always makes him fight someone 1 spot ahead him in the rankings ot behind him.

If Imavov/Caio winner can't turn around quickly I can definitely see RDR getting next depending on how quickly Khamzat is willing to fight again. I can see him sitting out until summer because why not.

Dominant win no doubt but good lord that was boring AF…

DC eating 12 pizzas would be more entertaining.
For real

23 minutes of ground control and really never seemed to even look for a finish.

Didn't draw blood.

I hope that was a matter of "I need to secure this title" so just for tonight I'm gonna play it safe to 100% make sure of victory.

Because it seemed like he had such a dominant control that why the fuck wouldn't he unload some power shot or try to get a sub or both?

This kid makes the UFC a lot of money, arabs, Muslims woldwide love their boy to win. Financially its great to have him win. He sells tickets.

I guess we will see?

He'll fight this fall in oil land is my guess

so short turnaround

well all those inbreds that were cheering for khamzat should be happy now right? idk why DDP was boo'ed in the chicago press conferences but khamzat is their guy?

anyway congrats to him he definitely made ddp look like an amateur wrestler

He has probably been the best MW for five years its a bit sad we couldn't see him in his prime dominating

I think Khammy was afraid of losing position…but who knows. MMA has apparently not evolved that much. Looked like prime Jon Fitch up in the house.

You know it's just the way the UFC operates.

I'm fully prepared for some complete nonsense bullshit matchup like Khamzat calling out Strickland and the UFC fully obliging giving it to him cause it's "too big of a fight not to make" *Dana White voice*. If they gave 3'Malley the Chito rematch after he won the belt, you can bet your sorry ass they'll give Khamzat whatever he wants.

Well for what it’s worth he said with trump in office, he can fight more now. We shall see.

Some may call his wins boring but everyone will still tune in to see it. He's an absolute monster and unlike anything we've seen before.
We've never seen a guy shoot for the ankles at every opportunity and hold position before?

The downside for the ufc is that if islam beats jdm... the only non caucus champs they'll have are pantoja and aspinall. I guess you could add volk but topuria smoked him

Said he had visa issues which were cleared now. He's fought often before the issues.

He told DC he wants to defend in Abu Dabi in October. Get him booked
REALLY? Was the after the fight after he talked to Rogan?

If thats the case throw him in there! I think Fluffy is a tougher fight but RDR has the better win vs Rob

He fought like that against Usman too. Seems like it might be his MO for guys he doesn't think he can just overwhelm.
