Platinum is wasting his potential - MMAmania article

In line yes, but more eloquently stated.

"The Perry of 2016 was no technician, but his incredible fighting instincts made him a formidable counter puncher. In his last two fights, however, those instincts are nowhere to be seen. Instead, Perry slow-steps his way forward, walking directly into punches only to react a second or two after getting cracked."

You need to have potential to waste it
Well that's a bit much. Don't let yourself just be a mindless backlasher just because his fans are so overzealous (and stupid). That would make you no better than them, just the flip side of the 'stupid coin'.

It feels like forever ago when Ponzinibbio proved that one just has to fight with caution and precision to beat him (it was only 3 years ago). Still, he didn't exactly whoop Perry. Soon after, Perry took one from Felder, and beat the always game and lively Cowboy Oliviera.

His fans thought he was Superman (though mostly in jest I think), but the fact is he did show some decent game with solid upside. All he needed was more time, training, and commitment, just like every other 20something up and coming fighter.

Then instead, he bought into his own stupid fame and let his destructive real life take over his training life.

Just because he has decent power doesn't mean he could be a champ or anything.

He's just not very good, fun and tough but never a contender.
