There was a thread a few days ago regarding how we listen to music. I went to find pics of my setup and I didn't have any recent pics. So, I was listening to my stereo all day today and got around to taking new pics of the current setup. For stereo people, here you go:

What folding camera is that? Looks like some kind of medium format.

Are you a photographer or something?

I bet your neighbors hate you.

It's just some old camera from the early 1900's. I'm also into photography as a hobby and I have a few of those as decorations.

I remember those big bulky speakers from the 90's. Circuit City is still around?

They're just bookshelfs my man. If you want to actually hear music, you need actual speakers.

One day, I might get these:

Ever photograph any nude ladies?

I actually am trying to get into photographing models, but there's a ton of photographers out there that do that already and it's hard to get started.

I haven't had an actual stereo in decades.

I had an NAD amp with Polk speakers, but someone pushed it too hard and soft clipping melted my woofers.

I sold my SL1200s for more than I paid for them, but have several hundred albums stacked in milk crates in a closet. Sitting on top of them is a Technics double tape that I dropped sixteen hundred on; it's basically a paperweight now.

When I moved into apartment living I abandoned the idea of having a great stereo.

Why? I live in a condo and the sound is isolate very well. Maybe I have thick walls though. I ask my neighbors if they ever hear my home theater setup or stereo and they say they don't hear anything.

I had a really loud old drunk neighbor who used to have a crazy ass setup. He would get super drunk at night and turn his music on really loud and go outside and yell at all the dogs that would bark. The police were always going over to house for noise complaints until about a year ago they showed up and he was acting belligerent so they took him to jail. The police destroyed and confiscated damn near every piece of stereo equipment he had while he was in jail. I dunno what ever came of any of it but that was the last time he partied like that. He was actually a super cool old dude but he had a serious drinking problem.
