Okay who in here could survive and not be blackout drunk via drinking a whole handle (1.75 liters) of liquor in the course of a day?

I'm always also amazed by people who can drink so much and still be functioning at say 6am and still down to drink after drinking and partying a whole night.

I cant even do shots let alone drink a whole bottle of anything. Why anyone would do that to themselves is beyond me

I used to be able to do thT. Only corona now. Once I totaled my car into a tree in front of a grocery store, I had to give it up

I bought one today of vodka and I have a good start. Wife's drinking out of it too but she won't have many. Will report back tomorrow afternoon sometime.

I have a buddy who used to regularly finish a 60oz bottle of rye whiskey in a night. Not anymore though. He got an ulcer and switched to vodka.

I used to get halfway through 1.75, but then I realized drinking was going to start getting expensive and stopped.

I try not to drink like that anymore but when I used to go on benders I would really put them away. Ever been drunk for a couple days?

Just 2 days but I have drank 7 nights in a row. That wasn't bad at all I only had 1 hangover after drinking hard the first night.

Shots are easy it's all mental and quick.

But I like liquor especially good vodka, and rum.

In the course of a day?

In my twenties, no problem at all.

I could handle insane volumes of liquor in college. Now 6-7 scotches in a night and I'm showing off my dance moves with no regard for setting.

In college I was able to stay up drinking for 24 hours, but was never one to drink a particularly impressive amount in a given time frame.

I knew a guy who had something fucked up with his body where he didn't process alcohol like everyone else. He could down a handle in a day and barely be drunk. He drank a fifth in a normal evening get together. It doesn't really count when you have a physical abnormality, though.

I've spent far too many years downing a 750 ml ov vodka a night. I'm trying to quit. A handle (1.75) barely bothers me.

I'm not proud of that.

I am kind of a manlet and I don't have a particular strong tolerance, but I could theoretically drink 1.75L of hard liquor in a span of 16 hrs and not black out towards the end. I'll just have to pace myself well, and eat and drink the right food in between shots.

Doing that regularly is out of the question for me though.

Throughout the course of a whole day I probably could as I'm pretty big and metabolize alcohol pretty quickly. I wouldn't want to though.

1.75 litres? That's quite a bit. Alcoholism coupled with being big would make that pretty easy, though. Hell, over a whole day I probably could still probably come close to drinking that much and I'm neither big nor an alcoholic. It wouldn't be remotely enjoyable, though.

the biggest i did to impress when i was a kid was to fill a 500ml bottle of water with pure vodka and chugged it down

i had no pleasure at all doing that, during, or after lol

lol TS you don't understand how alcoholism works. When you're up to that volume, you literally need the alcohol in order to function

I'm a big guy but I couldn't handle this, isn't it basically a shot or so every 15 minutes for 17.5 hours? That's alcoholism territory boys....

Did it once on a Sunday while living in the barracks back when I was in the Corps. Got up early and started killing a handle of Morgan... I blacked out a few times, my first real memory was at like 4am when I dropped the empty bottle on the floor and it bounced. The sound kind of "woke me up" and holy fuck I was hammered. Lucky for me we didn't have PT in the morning, so I was able to hide away all day doing menial shit while working on my tank. I threw up probably 10x that day though... fucking horrible, pulled my back muscles from heaving so aggressively.

So yeah, once, but never again.
