I just read someone trying to claim DDP's run was against aging champions and contenders. His run is in the top 5 all time in the sport. Up there with Ilia's run (Olives, Volk, max), Islam's run (Volk x2, Oliveira), and Merab (Yan, O Malley x2, Umar, Sandhagen, Cejudo).
He lost one fight to undefeated beast and he was never good?
DDP is definitely in the hall of fame. He beat Whittaker who had won 4 of his last 5, his only loss, a split decision to prime Izzy he arguably won.
He beat Sean Strickland at Stricklands peak, right after he had just dog walked Izzy, for the title.
Then he beat Izzy, who I will agree was aging, but still, had lost to Strickland, but Ko Alex fight before.
Maybe the second Sean win was not as good, but I wouldn't consider him aging, still in middle of prime.
No one can disagree.

After watching that Khamzat "fight" I became convinced even my 52-year old self could take him down.
