Which one do you go to for motivational masturbation? And why are these men popular? Are the masses of 30-50something men in dire need of a father figure and these dudes fit the bill? Have you ever listened to a David Goggins speech and went "beast mode" or turned into a "savage?" Do you get up at 4am to #BeMoreLikeJocko?

Macnamara is the coolest of them IMO. I dont watch much of any of them, although they pop up in my YouTube suggestions frequently.

lol at a grown adult needing inspiration from a stranger.

goggins is pretty cool
jocko tries to hard to give the whole masculine experience and ends upa caricature that wouldnt work anywhere in society

David Goggins is the most alpha of all of them.

from a dirt poor, disgusting fat ass slob that couldn't even look himself in the mirror

to literally a Navy Seal........who redid hellweeks for fun.....most famous ultramarathoner on the planet, and millionaire motivational speaker.

Beast

Jocko cool too tho

i think you'd be floored by how many grown adults aren't fortunate enough to be as well-adjusted as you are
That is quite sad. But I guess the “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” man is less and less nowadays.

Exactly. Jocko makes me roll my eyes. He feels like he’s playing a character and doesn’t really give any real insight. Goggins is a little more grounded in reality and isn’t “on” all the time.

It gets a little weird and fetishy for my tastes with guys like Goggins.

When I hear about him doing a 24 hour marathon with shit running down his leg, it has the opposite effect on me. If anything I'm motivated to not do the thing that brings that into my life.

That's taking a very narrow view man, you can get a lot out of others. I've had a few mentors along my working career, they really do help.

None? I’ve heard of that Jocko guy. I think I saw a clip from him on Rogan. I heard a lot of the Goggins episode. But I don’t have a ton of trouble getting motivated. I just never have. I have always had a work ethic. Don’t know why.

All three, then I run a 5k and train jujitsu with heavy metal playing the background.

Basic dude stuff.
