Opinion Participating in polls

Have you been asked to or do you participate in polls? I've had a couple of mailers from ACLU which I don't recall giving them my address, unless they got it from me signing up to get an email when my vote is counted? I guess civil liberties are pretty important so I filled them out but in the 11 years I've lived in the US this is the first I've been asked to poll.

I do sometimes and it is not anonimous stuff for me.

My business and job is to sell construction materials etc. We have some stuff and if to be fair, I answer according to majority of shareholers opinions...cos I don't have 50% + 1 in company. I have lesser than 50%.
Additionally we are suppliers for gubbermints too, so...100x think before talk.
