This fight for me just interrupts the flow of the main card and is in between fights i'm really excited about.

As someone who watches fights on most weekends and never misses a PPV l feel like a filthy casual for not really knowing either of these guys.

Couldn't bring myself to watch their parts in the embedded and just skipped the videos to Colby/Leon, Wonderboy/Shavkat and Tony/Paddy.

Y'all can call me a casual if you want.

Who's excited about this fight?

why do you ask such stupid questions?

anyone who has ever seen either of them fight is excited about this fight. it's the most exciting fight on this card easily.

Im going to use this opportunity to point out that everyone hates on fighters like colby because they only talk and never fight. Then you get amazing exciting fighters who only fight and never talk and it "just interrupts the flow of the main card"

MMA fans are THE WORST.

In short (pun intended), Yes.

Been lookin forward to this one since it was announced. Raw Dog is like the Tasmanian Devil, constant motion and thrives in the chaos. Pantoja really showed a lot by pulling out that 5th round vs Moreno despite having looked like he gassed out in the middle rounds. Virtually a guarantee it will be exciting from start to finish. I stand by the belief that the lower weight classes are the most skilled/deepest (I know, going to get me flamed by my 6'7 280 pound and jacked Sherdog brethren).

Yes. It'll be a good scrap.

Could be worse. Could be a WMMA match.

How could you not be excited for this fight sir?
This is a high level, high action fight.

nyuk nyuk nyuk
nah but youre right. smaller dudes are more skilled than bigger dudes as a general rule. theyre able to move faster and react quicker. imagine if you had a guy with Mighty Mouse's skills at Heavyweight? theyd be unstoppable.

Countdown views on UFC channel:

Edwards/Covington 316k
Shavkat/Wonderboy 111k
Pantoja/Royval 18k

{<shrug}
ive never watched a single Countdown in my life. i dont see the appeal. i wanna watch a fight, i dont care about any backstory or drama or whatever the hell they put in there. seems like these are made for the social media generation. the modern equivalent to reality TV. bleh.

With 30 finishes between the two of them, I’m guessing that it’s about fiddy percent chance that we’ll be in for a 5 rounder, not WMMA uninteresting as the co-main, but a high level fight between guys that are the size of my 14 years old teenager…

Honestly man, nothing wrong with being a casual. (Only saying that because you mentioned people can call you one, not saying you are) I feel like I used to be a real hardcore, watched every fight. Did all my research down to the nitty gritty when making predictions. Been posting in MMA forums since 2005 starting when I was 15 years old or so lol. Used to post a lot more back in the day. I post casually now only here.

But yeah, saying that because these days… I don’t care about flyweight. I will most likely be flamed but seeing this fight is a shrug. You are 100% right IMO. Brandon Moreno being the back up fighter says it all to me. I was hoping 125 would be scraped and 165 would be a new division but that isn’t happening unfortunately.

The fight itself will likely be a banger, like most fights in the division.

As far as title fights go though i'm not particularly gassed for it as they've fought before not that long ago.

I remember a very exciting fight the first time around sir.
Royval has won 3 in a row and has only lost to Pantoja and Moreno.
