Overkill is the most clever super hero name

Amazon prime has a new live action version of the tick, and with every iteration of the tick, his friends are overhauled and made into better characters.

This show scraps the character dieflatermause and/or batmanuel, and replaces him with a guy named Overkill.

Overkill is a parody of the punisher, which is what makes the name so clever. He kills tons of people, so having "kill", and "over" in the name makes literal sense. Plus it sounds cool. And it had the added benefit of a double meaning, as in he takes his desire for justice too far, and going too far is known as overkill.

Here's also the best character in the show.

Superman is just as clever. He's like a man but he's super. Man with super powers doesnt work though bc he isn't a man. So superman describes his powers and his true self.

Watched a cartoon with the kids last night on Disney Channel.

It was a Marvel made for TV movie that was animated.

Ms. Marvel, Patriot, Squirrel Girl, Quake, etc.

Squirrel Girl was completely butchered and they made her so weak. Her super power was to talk to her pet squirrel and swing her tail at the bad guys.

That's nothing. Check out Pokemon for clever names. Some names have three or four levels of word play that even extend to multiple language roots, it's insane.

Mareep for instance is an electric sheep inspired by the Philip K. Dick novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. It's a combination of Mary and sheep, as well as an anagram of the word ampere or amp. A milliamp is shortened to mA but that may be a coincidence.
