I know this forum has a love affair with Gary Oldman. He's great. But he's not a star. He's always a great #2 or #3 but I dont' remember anyone saying "Have you seen that new Gary Oldman movie". He's not a headliner. He can't win being a supporting actor IMO.
Jack, Leo, DDL, Bale, DeNiro, Pacino, Brando, Cruise, etc. are all way bigger names.
 
Only having a single actor from before the 1960's makes these finals kinda silly.

I know what you are saying, but it's actually fitting considering Brando is the only one that's acted before 1960 on this poll. Considering he pretty much started the movement of a more naturalistic acting style. Like they say there acting before Brando and than after.

So in a sense it's not that silly afterall. : - )
