Star Wars Battlefront II was amazing after they got enough updates out. I know some people gave up on it early on but it ended up being incredible later down the road. One of my favorite multiplayer experiences in recent yearsThe fact that they let the head of Repsawn take over is the only reason I have any faith in this next BF. Between Apex, Star Wars, and Titanfall they are clearly a studio that know what they are doing. They gave him control during BF2042 but IMO it was already to late. This BF game was something they got to do from the ground up.
When i lined up yesterday i was around 201k but took me around 20min waiting time to get inSomeone got queued 270,000. My enthusiasm for 20K the other day = rookie numbers. Will you be playing?
Watched some of Docs stream for gameplay and I’m sold. I picked up some vehicle and weapon skin drops from another stream. Dragging your teammate while reviving seems a game changer.
The shotty seems weak though I saw numerous point blank shots that didn’t kill, at least a 2 hit minimum..that could use some work.
Someone asked him if it was better than COD?
He said it could potentially surpass COD esp if they don’t get their shit together (I don’t play COD so idk).
Yeah I suppose he had a shitty setup I saw someone else get shwacked with 1 hit from it.Nah man the shotguns are insane, I've taken out squads with it, I wouldn't be surprised if it got nerfed in the final release.
It's actually super easy, just go into the BIOS, advanced, then you should see a tab called boot. Go into that and it should be right there. You also need to make sure you're on UEFI boot, not legacy. Took me about 2 mins.I got a code for early access. It wouldn't boot up because it's telling me I need secure boot installed, or activated, to combat cheating. I'm seeing that it should be activated by default for PC's like mine with Windows 11 from the get go, but apparently that isn't the case with me
Before I even attempted to go into my BIOS and either install or activate it, I did a quick google search I'm seeing tons of people having issues. I avoid going into my BIOS as I know my limitations.
This triggered my PTSD with BF2/3, where I had a ton of issues due to easy anti cheat, and other BS. BF4's terrible launch isa different story on its own.
There's always something with Battlefield games lol.
If this is half as good as the aforementioned were, I'll consider tinkering, but I figured I'd ask around if any of you are having issues?
Thanks man. I had to jump through a few extra hoops, as it said it was enabled in my bios, but not active. It's actually super easy, just go into the BIOS, advanced, then you should see a tab called boot. I'm also still rocking the 3080, with a 1440p monitor as well, just not ultrawide. I'm averaging around 120fps overall, which is a smooth enough experience for me. I installed it on my other PC with a 7800XT, although its only hooked up to a 1080p monitor. It ran really great on that too, not sure of frame rate though as AMD's overlay doesn't seem to work in most games. I really haven't got into the settings, or even weapon customization too much yet, just enjoying the game and trying to complete the challenges. All I've got left is reach rank 20, and repairing vehicles as engineer. Having a blast so far! Thanks man. I had some sound issues too, everything was tinny/hollow. Turns out I had to disable my Bluetooth mic by disabling "hands free telephony. It was tucked away under more "more devices and printer settings" in Bluetooth settings.
I got to play for about an hour though, really liked what I experienced. It basically feels like the Bad Company 2/BF2 evolution I always wanted.
I'm running my 3080 still, and I had smooth frames on Ultrawide 1440p with high settings. I didn't get into the weeds of the settings, just wanted to play, but so far so great.
The movement is so damn fluid and fun.
I hate my weapon reticule on the various machine guns though. Can we change that? I saw that we can change its transparency, but I just want a simple white dot.
I hope in the final version we can customize the look/gender of our soldiers too, make it a little more personalized while keeping the game grounded.
I think it's mostly for staying true to the series' past, as well as keeping classes as distinct as possible. When you open up the entire arsenal to everyone, it distills the gameplay since most players just run around with "meta" weapons. I can't imagine ever seeing many LMGs in "open" servers, for example, because it's so much easier to sprint around and get kills with ARs (which have far superior ADS speed and hipfire). At that point, all that separates each class is their gadgets. You end up losing out on a lot of depth and identity IMO.Also want to ask what the difference is for playerbase on class-locked weapon modes versus class-open. Is it competitive integrity, a realism thing, or what?
