Some migrants are wanted criminals or terrorists who are wanted by the authorities of their country, and you have absolutely no way to prove the opposite. Migrants are a security risk, first, before anything they could be.
The second problem with migrants, is that they are welcomed by national and regional corporations, to use them to lower their prices, the migrants end up taking & stealing the jobs of the national citizens. There is always a migrant, for who, the worst day of your life in the west is better than the best day of his life in the third world, there is always a migrant willing to work twice more than you for twice less. Also migrants often end up exploited, and abused, especially if working illegally, mostly used as a cheap workforce.

At least make quota of migrants given residency or assylum, and if you were to take 10 migrants, take at least 10 doctors, 10 engineers, that would be a better endeavor than taking ten bums.
The right is too blind to solve anything, having ties to white supremacist, nazism, and racist ideologies. To see all migrants as evil is a mistake, since there are good migrants who can bring value and positive externalities, and there are bad migrants, who are rapists and criminals leading to chaos and trouble.
