Yeah man! Muay Hardcore seems to play the stereotype of what Metal is, but Doom Metal like Mizmor is my shit. Metal is not as mainstream as it once was, but it has a thriving underground scene at the moment.

Metal / Rock / Hardcore is actually pretty mainstream in Thailand. At least for the newer generation.

Was not aware of this, thank you! I'm going to look around the internet for some Thai metal bands

Grunge has croaked with a pathetic wimpier, Alternative has always been for pussies and is dying like a little bitch, Rap is a pathetic half dead corpse that has long lost it’s fangs and has been reduced to prostituting it’s self to millennial queers who pretend to be from the streets and not from the tanks that Disney congealed them in. Yes they are dead and dying , but metal never dies.

I find that with metal it's a lot of nostalgia and the same groups from years ago still performing today for their aging fans while there aren't that many new groups as popular as those bands from the past.

You can say metal never dies, but it definitely isn't at its peak anymore.

A lot of the old and "semi" old groups are still playing at their peak and putting out amazing stuff. Not a lot of other genres can say the same. So much new stuff that's come out in the last few years that's really solid.

Also, Metal has some of the best drumming and polyrhythms of all genres.

No it definitely peaked here in the late 80’s early 90’s. It’s definitely not in mainstream but has always had a strong underground scene.

They should've used MMA gloves from the getgo. Muay Thai is all about clinch and grappling.

Everything music related was better up until like '96. Most Metal sucks too these days. That's why I listen to older music...

More or less yeah. For electronic music I'd say up to 2007 or so.

I’ve heard a few good bands lately but it’s usually guys that play on a regional level. Mainstream music industry doesn’t really look for talent anymore, they manufacture their stars and have the same 5 people write the songs for almost every performer. The other problem is that less people grow up forming garage bands. They tend to do that electronic mixing shit instead because it’s cheap and takes as much artistic talent and skill that it takes to fill in a coloring book.
