Kyoji is a better fighter than Tagir period, and most people in Khabib's camp. No excuses needed. Though I am sure you'll bring up a retired Irish fighter for no reason instead of actually talking about relevant fighters.

"The Dagi Takeover" and "Dagi Dominance" are figments of your imagination. Two great fighters (one retired and one likely close), two good/really good fighters (one not even UFC yet), and the rest are mid. You'll need to reckon with that sooner or later.

And the fact is, they make excuses win or lose. Islam being the worst offender.

I'm sure of it. I'm not saying they suck. I'm just saying that the whole Dagi Dominance thing is a bit overplayed. There's a steep decline after Beeb and Islam, and this will become evident with each generation.

They're not all unstoppable, mythical fighters. They can be beaten.

Khabib always had weight issues, and it has now become Islam's go-to excuse whenever one of his guys lose or when he himself has a poor performance. I'm starting to think that the Dagi weakness is actually the scale.

I always get at least one of these responses in my book threads.

Here’s the stone cold reality;

-Khabib and Islam. GOAT-ish tier fighters. Special.

-Usman and Umar. Next tier below. Likely will both be UFC champs, but will lose along the way.

-Everyone else from Team Eagle. Will lose, sometimes in dominant fashion, and will not be champs. Tagir and the guy that lost to old man Dalby are recent examples.

It's because they themselves are basically the equivalent of McGregor fans. Most of these guys wouldn't follow the sport if not for Khabib and seem to think everyone who follows MMA is either a McGregor or a Khabib fan. Fully binary thinking, as if it's impossible that no one gives a shit about either guy.
