I don't know what the law says, but the FAFO law of common sense tells me it was more than justified.

Too many entitled shits running around thinking their shitty behaviour has no consequences. Maybe I'm an "unk" but when I was a snot nosed teenager it never occurred to me to mouth off to an adult, let alone get physical with one. In Eastern Europe where I grew up, first the teacher would have whooped my ass for it, and then when my dad found out about it he would thank the teacher and whoop my ass some more.

This whole pussy ass way of not disciplining your kids creates the worst kind of humans. That whole approach has been tried and it failed miserably, we need to set the clock back about 70 years when it comes to that shit and go back to what works and is best for both the children and for society as a whole.
