So I was just surfing sherdog doing my usual thing and all of the sudden a lysol ad starts playing (audio). I assume a pop up minimize but nothing. I come back and realize I only have sherdog open.

Has anyone else heard the mysterious Lysol Ad? It only lasted about 2 seconds while i was switching pages and then it stopped on its own.

I had 3 pages open on my browser I hit back on all of them to see if it could have been a previous site but it was all sherdog and one other site which didn't play the lysol ad when i went back and has never played one in the past.

Where did this Lysol ad come from? Was it a Sherdog glitch? Did our solar system enter a magnetic field of energy that ripped a hole in space time transferring Lysol ads to my computer? Probably.

I'm amazed that with all the browser 'tech' and add-ons, there are people out there that have still not figured out how to block all the junk.

it's not difficult.

Please tell me how, because this is seriously starting to piss me off... I just want to listen to the MMA Hour from today and browse these forums at the same time but the damn ad that seems to be on a loop is killing me.

It's also doing the opposite of what an ad should do... I now hate Lysol and will buy their competitors from now on lol.

I use firefox and a few choice add-ons, I can't go into specifics, but I can tell you that google search is your friend.

if its (it might be) malware, check your add/remove programs in windows (I'm assuming your on windows) and research (google) anything you don't recognize in that list, and you'll know whether to delete it or not.
