My buddy got his beat up by a guy almost half his size

So about 15 years ago a buddy of mine spent the night in the hospital after being jumped outside a bar.
Fast forward to present day, and he just admitted that he got his ass beat by his ex wife's HS sweetheart that was literally almost half his size. My buddy is 6'1" and was about 300lbs at the time. He's close to 400lbs now, but at the time, he wasn't a slug. He played college football for Eastern WA university at the time and was pretty solid.

Long story short, he was dating a chick on the track team that had a kid with her HS boyfriend. The guy was a dirtbag but would come around once in a while to play dad. I remember my buddy getting his eyes swollen shut after being jumped outside of a bar years ago, but he told me this weekend that he actually got into it this with guy when he was drunk and got his ass beat. I couldn't believe it. He said that he didn't talk about it all these years because it was embarrassing. Apparently the baby daddy showed up at him and his GF's place acing like a prick when getting the kid. My buddy had some words with him, and the guy sucker punched his ass cold before following with a few kicks when he was pretty drunk. I get that this type of shit happens but damn. I've met the dude that slept him, and the guy has like no muscle at all. He's tall but thin as a rail. He's like a buck sixty at most, and taller than my buddy. I would say like 6' 2" at least.

Knowing both of thee dudes, I just can't even imagine

Happens all the time.

On the street in an uncontrolled environment, the guy who has the mental advantage, the jump, or more experience will win regardless of size..

Getting punched multiple times by a smaller guy will fuck you up, even if you're way bigger.. if you get caught with some clean shots it's likely over..

Seen this kind of thing several times.

UFC and the streets are two different things..
 
How is he "literally almost half his size" when he's an inch taller? Unless I'm reading this wrong, your friend was a 6'1" out of shape DRUNK fat dude who got tuned up by a taller skinny dude who suckerpunched him stiff.

Having trained with pros, this doesn’t surprise me. I also had tough small friends growing up.
 
One of the best fighters I ever knew inside the ring or outside it was only 5'4" & 145 lbs. I saw him beat the daylights out of guys much bigger than him.

And obviously, your friend just isn't much of a fighter drunk or sober because it doesn't sound like he ever asked for a rematch.

Who knows how it went down. My buddy says that he was arguing one second, and staring at the stars the next. They're cool now and have been for years, but it's cazy just hearing about this now;

Fuck that......Either A) Go cheap shot him too and destroy him or B) Challenge the fucking pussy to fight, straight up, no cheap shots and see who wins(just tell him square up bitch, and boom that's the warning/challenge)

It probably messed him up mentally for a long time. Were they to fight again a week after or tomorrow he’d probably lose again.

Also a lot of times “cheap shot” is very subjective lol.

There's a part of me that thinks my buddy started the whole thing when fucked up, and the reason he didn'y want a rematch i because he nows it was his fault
