the few of your who remember my threads from a year ago might recall me moving a lot after my divorce. I moved 2 times in 6 months within the seattle area, then I went to Vancouver, BC last January. But this summer, for 3 months, I was in Alaska. After Alaska, I went back to Vancouver.
Now, in about 12 days, I move to St. Paul to finish up my MA and hopefully find some part time work that isn't miserable. This is my biggest permanent move... I moved to england for a year once to just hang out for a year, but I always planned on coming back.

What is the biggest permanent move you made? How did you get settled in?

NJ to LA. moved after college, found a FT job, but was laid off so I went back home after money ran dry

NJ to Houston. found a FT job while finishing my 2nd Bachelors. job is more stable, met new friends via school, hobbies, and work.

I saved a couple grand, applied for jobs months before my move, sell off things I dont need, and prepare my car for the drive.
