Just watched the Bling Ring movie. Based on the true story of a bunch of upper middle class kids wanting to be rich so they broke into the homes of many celebs. They stole around 3 million in money, jewerly and clothes. Broke into 50 something homes.

They broke into Paris Hiltons house several times. Stealing tons
Broke into Orlando Bloom house
Lindsay Lohan
Megan Fox
Audrina Patridge
Rachel bilson

Just shocking to me. That NONE of these homes had advanced security systems or any guards. A few had shit video cameras thats it.

Celebs spend so much money they could probably use the insurance pay-out a lot more than the crap they only bought to look like a big-shot for one day. If it gets stolen they can get the money and then have another day of looking like a big shot buying things they'll never look at again.

I think those that get stalkers or crazy fans do get security.

It’s probably not their only house. They’re probably robbing one of their houses when they aren’t there.

My guess is they only worry about securing the house when they are in it. As others have said, their shit is insured so it’s not a big deal if it gets stolen.

Most celebrities aren’t really at greater risk of crime, they don’t need more security than the average rich person when not at public gatherings. They live in safe areas where outsiders are viewed as threats, strong local police presence and a buffer of equally rich people around them.

I think the bling ring worked because the kids looked pretty much like any other people coming and going from the homes of young celebrities. They didn’t attract attention.

yeah you can basically just walk up to most of these houses it is in part how rapper pop smoke got killed that house didn't even have a gate. seems really dumb to not have a gate on your house if you are that rich even poor people gate gates

If I remember correctly, here was the OPSEC issue:

Step 1. Celebrity forgets to turn off their geo-locator on their smart phone.
Step 2. Celebrity takes a photo of themselves in their house.
Step 3. Celebrity posts photo on social media for the world to see.
Step 4. Two weeks later, celebrity posts photos from their vacation on a private island.
Step 5. Potential robbers see that celebrity has left their house vacant for two weeks and plan to rob the place of all the jewelry they saw on celebrity's social media accounts.
Step 6. Because the geotagging is still on, robber knows exactly where celebrity house is.
Step 7. Shocked face!

Yep, that is exactly how it went down. The ring tracked where the celebrity was then waited till they were out partying and robbed them motherfuckers blind.

Yeah its scary in a way. Very easy to be assassinated unless you have a legit security detail. I was reading the costs though cost you $1 million a year or more for 24/7 3 man security detail contracted with survelliance. Many Instagram celebs and others cant afford that soo easily. People with low 7 figure or 8 figure net worths its a heavy thing to afford. I guess living in a safe wealthy area and police patrols and alarm security and video camera is the best bet.

And even a 3 man team isnt enough for some dedicated hit squad. You would need survelliance and what presidents get or their inner circle.

It’s probably not their only house. They’re probably robbing one of their houses when they aren’t there.

It is there main house. That was Paris main home and all the rests. Their main pads in Los Angeles

Taylor Swift, yuck! She always seems to wear a stack of make-up, not attractive in any way, and her music is terrible. IMO.
