MORTAL KOMBAT II Creates Fake IMDb Page for Karl Urban's Johnny Cage

I hated how they explained each fighters powers in the last one, like it's some fucking magic you unlock. Jax didn't receive cyborg arms you see? Nope, he unlocked his 'arcana' and sprouted baby twig cyborg arms that developed into full sized Jax arms over the course of a montage.

Then they had PS3 graphics Goro job to Cole, a goofy new character with Plot armor.

Thrilled that they're focusing on fugazy imdb pages this time around, I know I'm sold

They should have recast Shang, he was appallingly bad. They even could have done something funny like cast Robin Shou as Shang. Saying, I always liked this face more.

I enjoyed teh MK movie. Loved seeing teh game come to life in live action. Could've been better here & there, but I was satisfied. Teh sequel was nice to immerse back into teh world, but I think they tried to fit too many characters in it while compromising teh story.

Maybe they've learned from past efforts

First movie was entertaining but definitely flawed. My least favorite part was turning the theme song into some like dubstep club version lmao. Karl Urbans the man and this trailer looks solid so I’ll be there.

I really enjoyed the last one a lot, looking forward to this!

I haven't seen it yet, really want to see it though! I tried recently looking for it but it isn't on any of my streaming platforms (Netflix, Prime, Disney, Paramount, etc.).

So annoying...

PirateBay son.

Hopefully MK2 ends up being good, I didnt hate the last one although they wasted Lewis Tan badly by trying to make him the audience vehicle. Looking forward to seeing the trailer tomorrow.

Some of those moves look pretty bad, not sure if that's intentional cause it's a fake trailer and they're not going all out on stunts/cgi, but I hope he fights better in the real movie

Official Trailer for MORTAL KOMBAT II Starring Karl Urban; In Theaters Oct. 24

From New Line Cinema comes the latest high-stakes installment in the blockbuster video game franchise in all its brutal glory, Mortal Kombat II. This time, the fan favorite champions—now joined by Johnny Cage himself—are pitted against one another in the ultimate, no-holds barred, gory battle to defeat the dark rule of Shao Kahn that threatens the very existence of the Earthrealm and its defenders.

Trailer gave me a bit more hope. Cage'z one linerz are cheeky AF, but that's a part of his original character, & so this all fits for me. Lovin' teh actor choice.

We need lots of epic fatalitiez & these were pretty rockin'. Fingerz crossed they pull it off~

Hiroyuki Sanada should've been Chang Tsung imo... remainz to be seen how well Chin Han doez, but that would probably be critical... depending on his involvement in teh story.

Shao Kahn waz more of teh star of teh gamez sequel story, & so maybe it will lean more heavily on him. Hopefully Martyn Ford can pull that off... he certainly haz teh look.

...It doesn't look terrible.

Will sail the seven seas for it when the time comes.

Look horrible. Guess i am getting old. But this is another eye candy for the nerds.

The action sequences are just like Marvel movies. Look like cut scenes from a video game.

Same with the Godzilla and King Kong movies.. its colorful and nice to look at. But your mind knows that you look at a computer animation.

Could have been a intro from a future PlayStation game.

Its hard to get my imagination to relate..

Trailer is about what I expected, didnt move the needle but didnt drop it either. This movie has a tournament going and they have actual winners and losers this time, interested in seeing who they kill off. (I know I know noone is ever really dead in MK)

looks corny in all the good ways
Karl Urban is a great dumb fun movie actor
I'm in
I'm not looking for high art and the first was fun
I keep hoping that movies go like books where the sequels are better than the first but it rarely works out
