back in the day if you hit a star you were gonna have to pay a high cost. look at the oilers, if you thought about touching Gretzky they had a platoon of goons who would make sure you regretted that decisions.


the instigator rule changed the self policing. It still happens but back in the day you literally couldnt avoid the fight and if you did your star would be targeted and then things would get really ugly.

That is the proper response to your team mate getting drilled, don't let the other player skate off happy after delivering the hit. Did anyone see Lundquist get destroyed the other day?
