Hi everyone,

Wanting to hear your opinions on MMA Board Style shorts you own/have owned.

Maybe amongst us we can all agree on a few particular brands that are among the top..

They come in all different shapes, sizes, with different features, designs etc - but what makes the perfect short for you?

What is the best design you have seen?
What features do you like the shorts to have?
What material do you prefer?
How do you like them to fit?
What closure system works best for you?

I personally have stuck with Hayabusa since they launched, I feel they use the best material, and fit well with great comfortability. Before this I used Sprawl. Most recentley I have just bought some Jaco which I am impressed with and some awful Contract Killer ones - not reccomended!

I have some Koral shorts, I like the simple design and color choice. The leg slits and stretchy material on the crotch will probably make them last a while. Plus, I don't usually see too many guys rocking them around here.

I actually like shorts which are not screen printed... after considering that I look at the design

I personally like my manto pros, they are very lightweight and easy to maneuver in. Great for grappling

Nogi.Strong slightly stretchy fabric, good look to them, able to wear casually as well as for training.Tough and withheld several years of training and rolling in them.Pull cord as well on interior.

I have to say as far as comfort, it is hard to beat my Inspirit Spec 2s and Sprawls, I have a pair of Fusions and an old pair of grip flex. I personally like Warrior Wear as well both Domination and Annihilation. But Sprawl egdes them out in comfort. I have always liked the look of clinchgear but I dont own any yet....... maybe I need a 12th pair of MMA shorts..HMMMM?

jaco or warrior for me

also have badboys not a big fan

anyone wit input on dethrone shorts?

I like my clinch gear and warrior shorts. Kind of on the fence with my Venom shorts.

I own just about every brand of fight short. I also have thick legs so some fit me better than others. Clinch Gear shorts are awesome. I just wish they'd do different color schemes (like pink). I like my OTM shorts, too. Durable stretch material with an over-the-top velcro closure and embroidered logos. Plus they're inexpensive. Thinking about picking up a pair of Hayabusa's, but not tryin to pay $65.

i have old navy, tap out, otm, and kaizen board shorts

old navy - i like em and they have pockets which is good

otm - i have 2 of the same pair of otm shorts..they fit pretty good

tap out- they're 42 or 44 and im actually a 38 but with the string tightened and shorts adjusted they fit damn good

kaizen - i have the gi fabric shorts..i havent tried them yet but the fabric is niiiice

I have LOTS of shorts: Sprawls, Warrior, Sinister, Combat Sports, Kaizen, OTM, NoGI, Koral, Cage Fighter... but my favorite, hands down, are Clinch Gear. Although a lot of people love them, I actually hardly ever wear my Sprawls anymore. I find them too heavy and bulky, for the most part. Clinh Gears are awesome, though!

Worst shorts I've own are sprawl gripflexs bulky, heavy.Clinch gear are good so are Triumph united and Warrior international.Jaco's are okay except for the really crappy screen printing.

In my shop the brand name shorts have kind of lost interest. Most local fighters are buying shorts with simple 'blank' or empty designs so they can have their sponsors logos put on them.

I know that champ sports makes some nice black and camo style board shorts that are good for putting your own sponsors info on them. CSI has some too. You can check them out on Boxing Gloves | Focus Mitts | Muay Thai Training Gear | MMA Shorts & Fighter Shirts

You can't go wrong with Sprawl or CSI shorts for decent quality at a decent price.
